It’s Bitcoin Defi SZN and we're integrating with Solv Protocol to empower users to restake their SolvBTC on SatLayer.

This post will explain how to stake SolvBTC with ease using SatLayer on Ethereum protocol.

The tutorial assumes you already have SolvBTC or SolvBTC.BBN. If not, you can acquire it from your DEX or CEX (where supported) of choice and swap various tokens directly for SolvBTC.

Double check the contract address and add it to your wallet via Coingecko info, the SatLayer deposit app (further down this guide) , or adding the following contract address to your Ethereum wallet:

  • 0x7a56e1c57c7475ccf742a1832b028f0456652f97

Let’s get started with staking SolvBTC 👇

1.  Head on over to the SolvBTC.BBN staking app, where you will be able to stake your SolvBTC and in return, receive SolvBTC.BBN which can then be restaked via SatLayer.

Select how much SolvBTC to stake and then hit ‘Stake’. Two transactions will follow,

a). Approve spending

b). Staking TX

3. Wait for the Staking tx to complete.

4. SolvBTC should then appear in your wallet of choice. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to add the token address. An easy solution to this is offered in the SatLayer deposit UI which we’ll visit next.

5. Head on over to the SatLayer app and click ‘Deposit’ on the SolvBTC.BBN section.

6. Select the amount of SolvBTC.BBN you wish to deposit (or click all) and hit deposit. At this point, you can also click “Add to wallet” on both the SolvBTC.BBN & satSolvBTC tokens to simply add them to your wallet of choice.

7. Similarly to the early transaction, two separate tx’s are necessary to restake. a) Approve the use of SolvBTC.BBN

b) Confirm and pay the gas fee to deposit into SatLayer

8) That’s it! You should see the progress bar has been updated to ‘Complete’. You have successfully staked SolvBTC.BBN into SatLayer 🤝.
